I blame the demographics of her district who voted for her: 26%+ less than high school education, 27% high school only, 0% post graduate degrees. Higher than average Hispanic/ Black metric, below average (low) income levels, 20%+ poverty level, etc.

If you put migrants up in nice hotels more will come. If migrants know they might be sent to El Salvadoran prisons even if they don’t commit violent crimes they’re less likely to come.

but step back and put another country's name in these stories. If Cameroon had masked gunmen take women, children, men into custody and house them inhumanely for months and months and shoot some of them in the head....you'd roll your eyes and say 'thank god I don't live in a third world country.'
