Trump: "So I put on a 30% tariff, which is very low. I got an emergency call from I believe the prime minister of Switzerland. She was very aggressive ... I didn't really like the way she talked to us, so instead of giving her a reduction, I raised it to 39%."
A Dem member of congress just viewed unredacted Epstein files docs and she says that docs show that it's not true that trump kicked Epstein out of mar a trasho.
Just one more myth republicans tell to make themselves feel better about a sex crimer for a president.

Wall Street Journal:
"The Wall Street Journal dropped a bombshell Tuesday night detailing the incident that finally prompted Donald Trump to ban Jeffrey Epstein from Mar-a-Lago — and it wasn’t just bad manners. According to the report, Epstein allegedly pressured an 18-year-old spa employee sent from the club to his Palm Beach mansion for sex, prompting her to return to Mar-a-Lago and report the encounter. A club manager faxed Trump the allegations and urged him to act, and Trump responded by ordering Epstein expelled from the club. The accusation was never forwarded to police, the Journal reported, even as Mar-a-Lago routinely sent young female employees to Epstein’s home for services. The newly revealed account surfaces as Trump again scrambles to distance himself from the Epstein files, adding fresh scrutiny to a relationship he’s long tried to downplay."
Who cares about some bot's fake story about a bank.
I'm pro ballroom. "Full stop." Isn't that what you guys say. "ICE out. Full stop." As if it has meaning.
Pitiful.
people aren't saying you can't renovate the white house, at all, ever. but let's follow democratic processes. let's have the money given to treasury. let's have congress vote on it. and let's have bipartisan say on what the end product looks like. as though we were trying to run government for all of us and not just to get what we want out of one man at the top.
and it's the beginning of the end of democracy and the rule of law if the president can just ignore congress and the people, and do whatever, as long as he can privately fund it.
Historical precedents show that U.S. presidents have frequently used private donations or funds for White House renovations without requiring full legislative approval, such as Jackie Kennedy's extensive restoration in the 1960s funded through private gifts to the White House Historical Association, or Franklin D. Roosevelt's indoor swimming pool financed by donations from the New York Daily News.
Utilizing private funding, as in Trump's proposed ballroom or Harry Truman's personal financing of the Truman Balcony from his household account, actually relieves taxpayers of the burden and aligns with longstanding practices that enhance the executive residence without necessitating congressional votes or treasury allocations, as long as no public money is involved.
Far from signaling the end of democracy, this approach can foster bipartisan support by avoiding partisan fights over budgets, as seen in privately funded projects like Richard Nixon's bowling alley or Gerald Ford's outdoor pool, which proceeded without undermining the rule of law.
If the ballroom design was hideous and out of context, it may warrant more pushback, but the design is quite fitting.

Who knows, man? Why do fish have gills? Nobody knows. Sometimes you just have to accept things as god intended them to be.
You know what question you guys should be pondering? What happened overnight that made it okay for a high-ranking government official to lie to everyone for years about the fact that he met with a known convicted pedophile felon on the pedophile's private crime scene island to discuss private stock deals (amongst other things)? That's a real head scratcher. That's a head scratcher for the ages. You could ponder that until the cows come home, and I'll bet you'll never figure out the answer to that question.
Trump: "I'm letting everybody that builds a plant build their own electric plant. So they're building a massive plant that's 4 miles long by 4 miles wide, and I'm letting them build electric plants. Some are nuclear, some are oil and gas, some are coal as a backup just in case."

Windmills?
I assume we are all runners here. Can we take a moment to fully appreciate how insane it is that Trump is bragging about 4 mile by 4 mile plant he is responsible for getting built?
