yeah, it's not just we elect crooked people with criminal convictions, it's the evaporation of public morality beyond that. you tell the press we can trust you because you barely knew the guy, and then we see you're business partners. he should be done. and any other GOP (or dem) equivalents.
i mean i do not understand how paxton has a government job in texas.
a lot of it comes down to crazy people who think voting for someone of the other party is like voting for satan. when i have seen a crooked dem on the ballot, i have voted GOP, libertarian, green. the problem is even the georgia elections officials who signed off on 2020 still voted trump. that is beyond f*cked up.
that and people just lie every day now. i don't mean spin that is honest about facts but putting a little partisan shade on it. i mean you can call some nurse helping a lady up, who gets shot in the back, a terrorist, and when we find out he's not, there are no ramifications. it is exhausting trying to unravel all the lies every day.
public morality is in the gutter right now. the way that gets fixed is the same attitude applied to, say, epstein issues, comes back to everything else. don't lie to me. don't redact the truth away, don't be corrupt. i am fine with dems getting arrested, impeached, whatever. when the right says the same this'll start getting fixed.
