Nope, I'm an atheist. I just look at the fact that Islamic extremists have killed 18,000 people in the last year alone and compare it to the sparse number of Christian motivated killings in the 20th and 21st centuries. Christianity has a violent past as well but that was like 400+ years ago.
I don't really have a problem with either religion but it annoys me how my left wing friends are constantly bashing Christianity while ignoring Islam, or defending it when it comes under attack from "Islamophobes".

You are a classic example of how liberals try to wriggle their way out of facing an obvious and uncomfortable truth by deflecting as much blame as possible away from their "pet" (in this case Islam). If the truth came in dead on and struck you in the face I don't think you would see it, as you would always have a way of using convoluted logic to rationalize your delusional opinions.

The prime motivator in all these attacks is ISLAM. Why would someone blow themselves up shouting allahu akbar if their motivation was simply money or power? If these wackos didn't really believe in Islam but were just using it as an excuse to carry out their deeds, then why are they so readily embarking on suicide missions???
Not all actions of the West are moral but at least we aren't citing texts from an ancient religion as justification.

I'd rather be an atheist in a predominantly Christian society than in any other religious society. I may also prefer a Christian society to an atheist one. Atheist societies are mostly failures (communism) or soon becoming failures (multicultural catastrophes). Christians won't kill me. Muslims will. And communists will.
Atheism needs another 200 years to mature.
