The only reason they were 7th was because they didn't have a 5th man.

Furman looking pretty good at a meet that didn't seem to have many people to push them... All I know is what's on Citadel's website, that they won with 18 points when 5th place was 25:54.. anyone have results??
UTC rocked at the Div 2 pre Nats today.
App got rocked at Winthrop.
Apparently Furman's runners were 1,2,3,5,7 at 25:18, 25:32, 25:42, and then 3 more well under 27:00. Looking pretty good I guess.
Furman's times aren't that impressive on Citadel's course.
Only think impressive about it might be that it looks like it was a time trial for them. Seems like it might be hard to run fast if you're running alone, it'd be more like a practice/workout. Maybe when you throw some other conference teams in there they can get drug out to even better performances..??
Hey App guys, update your friggin website! We're like a month into the season now. This is pathetic!
App :35 1-5 split

Decipher what you will...
How about you nerds, put away the microscope on early season results, go out for a run and wait until the last weekend in October to debate this issue.
I agree. 90% of the conference will race in about 10 days at Furman. Even that does not mean much w/o UTC, UNCG. Keep training and see where the cards fall at the end of October. Let this thread die.
I predict Wofford and Ga Southern battling it out for first place, with Elon and CofC not too far behind in 3rd/4th. Then it'll pretty much come down to ETSU, Davidson, and The Citadel's fifth men to see who can grab that ever elusive 5th spot. Just a hunch
Ever wonder how girls almost never are predicted? I mean, it's mainly due to the fact that our imense testosterone makes us more competitive but, eh, it's weird..
.
Looks like UTC ran well this weekend in beating Tennessee at home. SoCon champs should be a great meet.
Would be nice to see how they would stack up against Appy St and some other individuals in the conference this weekend, but as usual they will not show everyone what they're made of head-to-head.
SOCON women, UTC edged by #10 ranked UT.

Results from this weekend for teams that won't be at the pre-socon race.
