Jordan Hasay's success proves nothing unless you're saying she was over-trained in high school. Was she?
No one is "wondering" over how the system works, and none of us are surprised by it. We're just discussing the fact that it's a less than desirable system when you lose kids with so much potential because they ran too much before college. Now, it doesn't sound like Cayla herself was over-trained in high school, but the person who brought up the topic may not have known that and felt the point was relevant. After all, she's not the first super talent at Stanford to bail out early. Regardless, it's unfortunate that a kid who's good enough to run an Olympic standard while only in high school, would quit her college team after one season. Let's hope she keeps running one way or another.
