Ryan Hall seems to be ready

...and running 4:55 pace for 12 miles in the slipstream of a mountain biker means even less, but we have no idea of how this workout fits into his training schedule. Maybe he does 4:55 one week and 4:40 the next. Again, we have no idea.

To repeat, though, he should probably get himself out of his training buddy's slipstream. It's a hell of a lot easier to run behind a cyclist, even several feet behind, than it is to run exposed.

Yes he is. Saw him and he was looking very smooth and fluid.

Lots of critics of Ryan Hall, for his outspoken religious views, his solo coachless training, and his inability to crack the top 3 at a major. Despite all those criticism, I personally think Ryan Hall is the only Olympic long-distance runner that I believe without any doubt who is competing clean. No PEDs at all. Hall is such a person of honesty and integrity (and willing to endure criticism for it) that I have no doubt that the only boost he gets is from altitude. It often makes me wonder if that's the real reason he's never won a major. Go Hall!
