And he can't run on his record. With 23 million people unemployed, underemployed or out of the workforce, voters are frustrated with canned speeches. Believe it Flagpole, the Obama era is over this November.
You have to have a candidate with a HUGE emotional backing to beat an incumbent president. Romney just has not whipped people into any kind of frenzy at all. Plus, really the ONLY thing Republicans can try to stick to Obama is the national debt. Every other measure of the economy shows we've been recovering for 3 years now...slowly yes, but the recovery is there. I know that the conservative talking heads (Rush, Glenn Beck, Hannity, etc.) make people who want Obama gone believe it will happen...it is their job to make people like you believe it so that you will go to the polls, but there is a lot of apathy towards Romney. Obama will win another term. I can (and have) listed all the reasons Obama will be given another term, but two big ones are bin Laden being dispatched, and the recession (that started under Bush) being over. If a Republican had been in office when that happened, the GOP would have anointed him the next coming of Jesus Christ and they'd have to change their shorts, telling their wives that the sweet lovin' would have to wait until the next day.
