I find it interesting that in one of previous posts you stated something along the lines of having friends that go to church with degrees (not a direct quote, but you get the gist) and this is the danger; it is possible in our day and age to have a PhD in applied mathematics from MIT and still believe in the fairy tale concept of God, or Allah, or Zeus. It is possible for a person to be smart enough to create a nuclear weapon that can kill millions and still LEGITIMATELY believe that there is a being who can hear their thoughts or that they will get 72 virgins and their family will be rewarded, mind boggling. Intelligence doesn't preclude one from irrational belief or actions. In fact, it makes that belief more dangerous to the world overall.
Now that I've ranted about that I will briefly address the topic of Abortion. This is the main problem with pro life and conservatives. They want to make abortion illegal but they DON'T want to have entitlements for the mother or child when the mother isn't financially able to take care of the baby. So, they care about that "poor little baby" from the conception to birth but after that 9 months, oh no, we want NOTHING to do with that baby. What the heck? Do you not see a problem with that. They want their cake and to eat it too. Ridiculous.
I think overall you have a very dangerous line of thought by attempting to link intelligence to the ability to make rational decisions. When God is in the equation intelligence is irrelevant and logic is thrown out the window.
