Women should be treated equally. No one should be hitting ANYone unless in self defense or a sport like boxing. I wrestled in high school. There are several ways to look at this. For those of us who wrestled, I would not have had a problem with it then. However, I realize that it would have been unreal and really tough to return to school the next day if I lost. The other side is that I was a little horn-dog. Hell, who wasn't at that age? I surely would have copped a feel, grabbed some extra points, and never been accused of anything. Heck,where else can you feel a girl up while she is trying to stop you, and get points for it?
Overall, I never had this problem. as you might have read in the article, PA. is the ONLY state where girls never made it to states. There are plenty of girl wrestlers in this state. However, if any of you know anything about high school wrestling, you would know that this state has some of the best in the country. And, that we begin wrestling in second or third grade. and, that it is part of most schools gym class. This is just another reason why I laugh when I see another runner try to talk tough. I don't really need to worry about anything. I have never met another distance runner I couldn't kick the shit out of.

From what my friends on the wrestling team say, it's quite common for guys to get them while wrestling girls. I remember hearing a story once about a kid who was wrestling a girl and went through five minutes of blood time (and several more minutes of something-else-time, I can't remember the details) and he still couldn't get his erection down. Who would want to be that guy?

Both of the girls were in the same 112 weight class in 3A and both lost the only 2 matches they actually had to wrestle. Still, kudos to them for being able to qualify.
As for the kid that refused to wrestle, I understand that his family has certain beliefs, and that's fine if he freely chose not to compete. However, it would be a shitty deal for all involved if it was his parents that basically forced him into this decision. I know he was home-schooled by his mom and his dad is some sort of minister, but it would be a real shame if this wasn't his choice. Hopefully it was, but we can't really know.

Is it not obvious that a heterosexual guy wouldn't have to feel awkward about wrestling another guy, since he would never view another guy in a sexual way? And is it difficult to understand that a heterosexual guy might not be able to refrain from viewing a girl in a sexual way while he's tangled up with her? I don't see any internal contradiction there, from a faith perspective. But if you were bisexual, I guess your argument might make sense.

haha... yeah. It's almost definitely not worth it to waste my time with your disastrously poorly thought out argument point by point, so I'll propose an experiment to you so you can have some data to fill that giant gaping hole where your common sense is supposed to be.
Go walk up to one of your friends while he is sitting on the couch and wrap your arms around him in a typical wrestling posture. Let us know how he responds.
Then, do the same thing within a grappling competition or wrestling practice when you are instructed to do so, and tell us if you get a different kind of response.
Now answer this question. Why doesn't this kid start wrestling people when he is walking down the street? Is it possible that even this dim-witted neanderthal can tell that context is important.

I can't believe I'm wasting my time spelling things out for this curiously clustered bundle of morons, but it's worth noting how obvious it is that this is intended to do nothing more than point out that some ideas are so stupid they don't deserve consideration. I'm sure you can think of others.
One example of an idea that is so dumb that it doesn't deserve consideration is that wrestling girls might contradict someone's faith or values(assuming they don't claim their values involve loving violence and sexism).
