I work in the same building as a "Mother Hubbard Cupboard"...
I see different types of people all day long, standing in line for a box of food. 40% have kids, 50% are homeless, 10% have something wrong with them and 100% all look very poor and less fortunate than myself.
No taxpayer money is used to help these people, it's all done in the good graces of my community.
The people that have been showing up lately are dressed to live in the Antarctic.
If you want to complain about something, complain about the US government spending 1.2 billion on advertising in 2005. Or any of the other hundreds of billions wasted on things that don't help our people. Our government is "for the people," of course.
There's something called common decency and we should be a little better at it, especially this time of year.
