To suggest this game will be a blowout either way would be ridiculous. My score is Auburn 44 to Oregon 36. It will probably be high-scoring. You can see that by looking at the stats of the two teams. However, everyone said the Iron Bowl was going to be a barn burner, but it turned out to be a tale of two halves with defensive shutdowns for both teams. My point is anything can happen. These are two fantastic team with very similar game styles. Late starters who come alive in the 4th quarter. Athletic quarterback and a very good running back. Excellent running back in the case of LaMichael James. Auburn has practically 3 starting running backs who are all quite good. They average out.
On the topic of SEC teams making the BCS national championship game when they maybe shouldn't? They do win them. Yeah, Alabama probably wouldn't have won if Colt McCoy hadn't been hurt. (I'm not a Texas fan, but I'm an AU fan, which is reason enough to pull against Bama) So if the #1 team is better than the #2 team, and the #3 team is better than the #1 team, then the #2 team is vastly overrated. Don't blame SEC favor.
