Normally that requires a little more force than running. Usually, you have to tear one of the ligaments that hold things in place for it to happen, and the cure is pretty simple: just untwist it.

I would love to get my hands on the t-shirt Kara was wearing. I think that might have been the only article of clothing except for her pants and a few hats.

I've run a few 5Ks at naturist resorts. It's not uncomfortable for the man-bits; they basically huddle together and stay out of the way. I was expecting some discomfort the first time, but it was no problem.

Some of the women at these races go pants-free but wear sport bras because of the bounce. Others don't have a problem.

I swim naked. It helps me steer.

A-Rod's unintended self-parody aside, top athletes don't do that sort of thing, only those lower on the scale in their sport have to jump through hoops that more accomplished athletes don't to secure that income. Notice Lauren, Nick, and Adam naked, Kara not. Aside from clothing, what separates the last one from the others?

That's just not true. Top athletes do ridiculous things like this all the time because they're the only ones that fans actually want to see. Kobe and co. with the Guitar Hero commercial?

Yes, and Woods and Federer have their silly razor commercials, too, and the Manning and Williams siblings have their regrettable cunnilingusesque Oreo ads. They aren't showing ass when they do, though. At the highest level of their sport, Adam Goucher, Nick Symmonds, and Lauren Fleshman are NOT top athletes. Put it this way, I wouldn't have even known who the hell that African miler was if they hadn't captioned him. That's what Adam, Nick, and Lauren are to Johnny American general running population, the primary target of this ad and this is why Nike can get away with asking them to strip down but wouldn't ask Kara to do the same. She's in a different stratosphere in terms of accomplishment and stature in the sport.

You know that Adam could have been the clothed one instead of Kara and the alleged "joke" would have still worked, right?

ya, but it'd be much more harder/unnatural to cover up everything for Kara while just sitting on a couch, as opposed to Adam looking natural while just sitting there crossing his legs.

Also, notice the women wore skin colored stuff in the video. That'd be very noticable on kara just sitting there don't you think..

I think its great! Humor is a wonderful tool in marketing. The product is obvious, the benefits were clear and the big names were just icing on the naked buns. I say that was just grade A marketing! PS I love Adam Goucher!
