Yes, Norton is anchoring the DMR.
I think Princeton expected to score more in the 3000 than just Maag's 10 pts. They were controlling the pace, keeping it slow and it did not work out for them when the kicking started, except for Maag.
Escareno was smart to push the pace in the first section, so he got 4 pts.
And where is Nightingale?
Some really WEIRD coaching and racing in the 3k - the Princeton and Dartmouth top guns nearly lost to the slow heat because no-one kept the pace honest. It would not have hurt either Maag or Norton to have been rabbited by a team mate through the first kilo in 2:45 - 2:50, and they could still have had their pissing match at the end. If the race is run in 8:24ish (top ten seed times all under this) Escareno doesn't score from the slow heat, then Sitler takes 6th and scores. Weird.
Fastest mile of the meet had to be cruised 4:06 - 4:07 anchor on the dartmouth dmr. That looked really comfortable.
LBP is a total beast. What an awesome final straightaway to win the mile. Great race to watch.
