That has to be a joke. I know all we have to go on now is the NYU meet, but that looked like this if you include only South region teams (basically the top-4 VA schools):
1. Flynn, Lynchburg
2. Rittenhouse, Bridgewater
3. Welsh, W&L
4. Devar, Mary Wash
5. Spalding, Bridgewater
6. Driscoll, Mary Wash
7. Pattyson, Mary Wash
8. Berry, W&L
9. Cash, Mary Wash
10. Fulton, Mary Wash
11. Jacobs, Lynchburg
12. Peggs, Lynchburg
13. Brower, W&L
14. Downs, Mary Wash
15. Apgar, Lynchburg
I don't feel like doing the rest, but the team scores end up like this :
Mary Wash - 36
Lynchburg - 59
Washington & Lee - 59
Bridgewater - 84 (i think)
I know Lynchburg ran without Falke, which makes me think they would best W&L, but Mary Wash was also without their #2 guy, so they are, for now anyway, the top dog in VA. Of course, none of these team look like a threat to beat Emory, Centre, or Rhodes.
haha, the virginia schools are a joke

As opposed to the D3 powerhouses routinely turned out by North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, etc...
i meant compared to the other schools in the S/SE
Does anybody know what happened to Nate Blank? That guy was off the meat rack a couple seasons ago.

Exactly.
What!! Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia D3 schools are going to destroy the VA losers! Too bad it will be a home court LOSS.

Prediction: VA has 4 schools in the top 10. No one else does.
Get back to me in two months.
Meant to quote whitowski...guess it's time for bed.

Which 4 VA schools do you think will be top 10?
Watch out for Lynchburg they will be back to the days when they were easily winning the ODAC and finishing in the top 5 at regionals every year in the late 90's early 2000's.
Nobody in the region will touch Ricky Flynn if he stays healthy.
Dude ran 14:40 on the track how many S/SE runners did that last year.

And then what happened...
Oh, and how recent was the last AA from Virginia?
Lynchburg, W&L, Bridgewater, Mary Wash are all pretty safe bets. I don't know what CNU's up to, but they could have a shot as well. Roanoke has been in the past but doubtful for this year.

Mahoney was not too far away with 14:52, plus considering he runs about 2:05 for 800m he only improves as you stretch it out to 8k.
Fast 5k's on the track are a good sign, but Ridley ran 14:49ish a couple years ago in a race where he probably could have gone a lot faster but there was some lap miscounting incident. He actually didn't even qualify for NCAA's that next fall (after having done so 3 straight times) as he had bad asthma problems during the race, so nothing is for sure.
As I said before, there are 3 guys who look like they should separate themselves--the two previous winners Mahoney and Nasiro-Sigo (if he's running) and Flynn.
I just don't know if Lynchburg has the depth to compete for a top spot in the region cause of their depth. We are talking almost a 2:00 spread between their 1 and 2 at NYU. At regionals, there will be a lot of guys from other teams within 2:00 of Flynn. Yeah Falke wasn't running, but still. I assume Wray isn't running to stay healthy for track? Cause he could contend for top 10 at regions if he wanted.
I think Lynchburg has a great chance to upset a lot of teams if they stay healthy.
From what I know
Flynn-will win the region with a 25
Van Alstine- could be up with Flynn, coming back from injury
Wray could run if he's needed, could contend just doing a workout
Falke, Jacobs, Peggs, Irby all in same range, then a lot of freshmen that put up some times at NYU
L'burg will do as well as their injuries let them
5 most recent all-americans from VA:
2001- CNU Matt Sinclair
1996- Mary Wash College Jon Gates
1995- CNU James Ratcliff
1993- LC John Cardwell
1992- LC John Cardwell
VA DIII sucks
Bridgewater has to be the favorite to win the ODAC and even the Region. Here's why:
Spalding - National XC Qualifier last year
Rittenhouse - 15:08 5K (and beat Spalding at NYU)
Deng - 15:53 and probably the most raw talent of anyone in the Region
Griffin - 4:08 1500m with no xc last year
Peyton - 1:54 800m with plenty of xc experience
Two good freshmen running 6-7.
These guys train together well and push each other, plus they have great coaching (Lori Schrock - ODAC Men's XC Coach of the Year last year).
oh yeah? none of the ODAC schools will do crap. and since you gave me the opportunity...ill tell you why BC wont
-spalding and rit are good guys, i got mad respect for them. good kids and good runners, they arent the reason.
-i heard deng can't handle the cold, itll be a lil cool in W-burg in november, and freezing in minnesota
-griffin's head is too big, hes so full of himself that itll slow him down on the course
-stanley is a strong runner.....on the track
how did bwater do at nyu again?
