At the halfway point he has run 79.26 in 12 hours which is a 9:05 pace
To break the record he must run 74.5 miles in 12 hours which is a 9:40 pace

Did he stop? He isn't running anymore.........what a badass.
He gets a break? What a crock of shit.....
maybe he's going to the bathroom, but as i glanced down, it looked like he faceplanting and people were picking him up on their shoulders
This world record is a soft one - you don't believe me do you? Take a look at the following list 153.9 miles looks good until you scroll down and look at the women's record: 153.6 miles - just 0.3 of a mile less. Come on, although some female ultra-marathoners have run good times shouldn't the mens record be nearer 165 miles? As a comparison Yiannis Kouros has run 188 miles on the track.
Tergat 2:04:55 vs treadmill marathon WR 2:21:40 (88.17%)
Kouros 188.058 miles x 88.17% = 165.81 miles
He looks pretty well built. I can't imagine he would run any faster than 16 minutes in the 5k.
Do you think his balls will hurt after 25 hours of "exciting" treadmill running? Mine hurt just thinking about it!
No, because he's only running for 24 hours.

I love this list. Next to a lot of people's name in the notes section, they have a DETAILS link where you can go see splits of their world record attempt. But not Dean's. Next to his name is a link to Amazon.com where you can buy his book.
The man has no shame.

What? Do you want to go 24 hours without taking a piss? The clock keeps running, genius.
who is the other person running up there?
who's the guy jogging next to him on the other treadmill?
whoops didn't see your post
Maybe I'm seeing this wrong, but isn't "Accelerade" spelled wrong up on the big screen. It looks to me like it is spelled "Aceelerade."
looks fine to me
I see Aceelerade too. It's on the 2nd camera i belive, across the street from where he is running.
I went over there and farted on him. It stank!!!
