Mike, thanks for one of the most interesting miles I have ever seen (and I've seen many 100's). The way you controlled the race from the front was an excellent tactic on that particular track, given your 3-step acceleration capability. On the first viewing, I thought WTF? on the pushing incident, then on second viewing I saw the elbow, which was indeed to your neck height, warranting the response that you gave it. For you to slip by him without shoving him back more violently was actually admirable sportsmanship on your part.
That last lap, run in 60 seconds as a fartlek, showed that you were indeed capable of close to 4:00, although given what we now know about the slowness of that track, perhaps at Millrose sub-4:00 was impracticable. Instead we gort this stellar effort, much more entertaining than a 3:59.xx time trial.
