Will Brian Sell Break the American Born Record in Chicago?

being at the expo here in Chicago...Sell and the hansons were like rock stars. Up there at their booth signing autographs and shaking hands. Regardless of how fast they run, the hanson's bring some real energy to the sport.

Back to the race, the www.chasingkimba.com blog says Sell is a mile behind the leaders at the half-way point.

Wrong. Maree came to the US to capitalize on his athletic ability. His citizenship was pushed through in time for the 1984 OG where he showed up lame leaving a fit and ready Chuck Aragon watching from the sidelines. He renounced his citizeship and went back to South Africa where he embezzeled money from a charity and is awaiting trial. Maree is low life scum who will be spending time in a dank SA prison.

I have not read the entire thread but read this post because it was reported to me as offensive. And I assume they reported it as offensive because you talk about coming out of you mom's vagina and are attacking people calling them "whie upper middle class asses".

But a couple of points. #1) There is no official American born record (in the preview I don't say American born record, but I did see this thread), but I don't have a problem with people talking about the fastest time by a person born in America. Clearly by the # of posts in this thread that topic resonates with a lot of people.

#2) The top of American records, rooting more for people who grew up in America, or were born in America has been discussed many times on these boards. Some people are going to relate more to athletes who are more similar to them, and some of these similarities may be on place of birth. That does not make someone a racist. Last time I looked the Torres brothers were born in America as well and they are Hispanic. I don't see what is offensive about people discussing this topic and that is why the thread has stayed on the boards. We do remove threads when they degenerate into bashing attacks.

#3) You say citizenship is a thing of the past but earlier talk about there being one kind of American citizenship. Clearly it is not a thing of the past but we are moving towards a more global world.

Maree didn't come here to get an education? Since when?
