We are witnessing some Kabuki theatre going on.
1. Venezuelans are waking up wondering why their vote is still being ignored and they still have an illegitimate VP now as their President and his entire oppressive administration is still in power. And their resources are now the property of Trump INC. Who is bragging about it.
2. Trump’s press conference where he was entirely clueless about who would be running the country was a tell. He suggested Marco Rubio, Stephen Miller and Hegseth for chrissakes. The reason that he was caught off guard is because the truthful answer was that he was just going to keep the Maduro administration in power but he made a deal with the VP to get the oil.
3. Pam Bondi indicted Maduro on possessing machine guns among other charges? WTF? What US law was broken for a foreign leader to have weapons in his own country as head of his military? It seems this is a case that isn’t meant to go to trial ever. Will Trump pardon Maduro for playing along in this theatrical production?
4. Trump needs a distraction. The #1 way to fix cratering poll numbers is to become a war time president. This is why Trump is now saber rattling against Iran, Cuba, Colombia etc. He doesn’t want to lose this distraction and perceived war commander MOJO. Scary to think about what Trump will do with his newfound love of military battle victory.

More Kabuki Theatre?

Do you remember that money shot of Obama and his generals in the situation room during the capture of Bin Laden? That is the one that goes into the history books.

Not to be outdone, Trump also had a money shot photo of himself and Kegseth in the situation room. But on the big screen behind them it shows Twitter (X). And it appears that someone on the computer was searching "Venezuela". What is this about? Is it normal for a military operation of the highest order to be on Twitter seeing how it is all playing out on social media?

5. When this Venezuela adventure goes sour, Trump will need an even bigger event to wipe if off the headlines. Which means probably we attack Denmark and/or Cuba.
