“A drug that sells for $10 in London is costing $130 in New York. We’re bringing it down to $20,” Trump said. “So we’re going down—you can do your own math, but it’s 2,000 percent, 3,000 percent. It’s pretty amazing. And, you know, the New York Times had a story about it, a small story, way in the back of the paper. It’s the single biggest thing to happen with respect to drugs probably in 50 years.”
It’s just inexplicable that he would say such a thing. For the record, I did my own math and came up with an 85% decrease.
Trump's continued claims that he is dropping prices more than 100% is an indication that he is a complete idiot (he would be correct) or that he knows MAGA is a bunch of complete idiots (he would be correct) or both.
There is no good explanation for this obvious, and repeated, error.

The dumbest part is that the 85% decrease is an achievement. He’s so broken that his need for exaggeration completely ruins the entire message and nobody believes him.
He constantly wrestles a loss from the jaws of victory.

Trump graduated at the top of his class at Wharton. If anyone knows anything about pricing, it’s him.
The FIFA Peace Prize rectified the gross error of Trump not receiving a peace prize for his work tirelessly promoting peace. But the Nobel committee should fix their mistake as well - by awarding Trump 9 peace prizes for ending 9 wars (after Ukraine is over).
The Guardian piece reminds me how incredibly stupid this country was during the Biden years. Harris would have been a complete disaster. Trump has turned the country around 360 degrees in the last 11 months. It is truly America's golden age.
Either this is an egregious error, or SFI is a subtler troll than I thought s/he was.

The FIFA Peace Prize was a bribe that led to pardons in a soccer-related fraud case. Trump came through with the pardon about five days after the "prize" was given to him.
The Justice Department’s solicitor general effectively ordered Brooklyn prosecutors to abandon two FIFA bribery convictions amid pushback from their Trump-appointed US attorney—potentially unraveling dozens of other international soccer corruption cases and hundreds of millions of dollars in recovered penalties.

Sick people associated with the crime syndicate (D). Shame. These people are nuts.
A total of nineteen blue states are suing the Trump administration in a bid to protect the right to perform child sex changes. Last week, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he would cut off Medicare and Medicaid funding to any provider that offers so-called gender-affirming treatment to minors. “Under my leadership, and answering President Trump’s call to action, the federal government will do everything in its power to stop unsafe, irreversible practices that put our children at risk,” Kennedy said at the time. The Oregon-led lawsuit claims that the decision “exceeds the Secretary’s authority and violates the Administrative Procedure Act and the Medicare and Medicaid statutes.” Oregon Attorney General Dayfield argued that child sex changes are an essential form of healthcare. quote: Among the states signed up to the lawsuit are California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wisconsin, Washington, and D.C.
https://www.wsj.com/opinion/the-eu-tells-native-americans-how-to-manage-our-forests-05f3173e The European Union has overreached again. In its pursuit of “deforestation-free” products, it is using its global influence to exert control over foreign lands and to project its values, assumptions and expectations on the rest of the world. Under the EU’s Deforestation-free Regulation, which went into effect in 2023 but has yet to be enforced, those who sell certain goods in the EU—wood and furniture, for instance—must prove that the products don’t originate from recently deforested land and haven’t contributed to “forest degradation,” which is loosely defined. This policy evokes painful memories for my people, a tribal sovereign nation in Oregon. It’s a new spin on colonialism—a regulation based on the flawed premise that Europeans know what’s best for the rest of us.
Fox host: When Trump first ran for office, he promised that we would be able to say Merry Christmas again. I think it’s safe to say he has accomplished that. We can say Merry Christmas again.
