Yes it is true. His wife is Italian, and is having none of it, but of course won’t get a divorce. He wants to reconcile because she’s amazing, but she’s had it. He is a businessman-turned-adventurer, and convinced her to live on a yacht in Monaco for years. One of those guys you find at the club in Antibes, like “the most interesting man in the world” guy, only he’s personable, generous, etc—only, still a moron.
Covid has cramped his international style, which is funny because his skank is in the US. Idk if he has seen her since it all blew up, or not.
Complicating all this is that his wife got some rapid-onset ataxia, and is now going blind and can’t really walk, and could really use his help, in their fabulously huge Copenhagen apartment.
The cherry on top is that she is now close to his best friend, who like a total douchebag had always been sniffing around, and who has turned opportunistic.

To mas’ suggestion that I’m into quantitative analysis, that was a swing and a miss. For financial markets anyway. I’ve shared on here in the past a fairly solid debunking of common methods of technical analysis. I think three or four regulars on here often talk about technical signals (mas included if perhaps less frequently), which I think are mainly nonsense.

July 2014. Hussman predicts zero returns from the point he hit 'publish' to now.
We now know the answer: around 13%/year.
So, very, very wrong. But kudos for John for keeping his predictions up on the web.
