But to answer your question, the Trumpers are saying they learned how to be more effective authoritarians. They have teams of people working on how to wreck checks and balances etc. They will sidestep senate confirmations by using acting appointments, for example, and just fire civil servants who might have stood in trump's way last time. Dangle pardons to all those who would break federal law to support trump. None of that was in the cards last time.

2. It happened before. In 1860 you Democrats seceded from the country because you didn't like the Republican that got elected. Your war killed almost a million Americans. The Electoral Count Act of 1887 that Trump used for his "insurrection" was written in response to the Democrats trying to steal the 1876 election.

Why is it that life long conservative republicans some of whom have a very strong dislike of liberals say that Trump lied and the election, it was not stolen, and most say if he is elected he is a danger to our country. Liz Cheney, Adan Kinzinger, John Kelly, William Barr, and Mitt Romney to name some. (There are so many more too)

I honestly do not care. This country needs real change very, very badly. It may be that the only way to accomplish what needs to be done requires a certain amount of authoritarianism. American cities are corrupt cesspools full of people who are cheating or gaming the system. The violence and drugs and constant organized theft are a curse on this country and its economy. There is a reason that "Try that in a Small Town" was such a big hit and a reason that Trump is stomping Biden in the polls despite being under an avalanche of indictments. We are literally going to hell in a handbasket. Something needs to change.

civil servants serve the nation, not the president of the United States. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what federal employees do.

There is an actual law against firing classes of federal employees for lack of loyalty to POTUS.

What you favor seems to be a return to the days of graft, when a politician fired all the current employees and hired yes men and donors. That is a terrible way to run a government and laws were passed stopping it.

So what Trump will do is fire federal employees, breaking the law, and daring anyone to do anything about it. If the firer gets in legal trouble, trump will simply pardon him.
