Tariffs are destructive. They are foreign-facing regulations. They are not taxes. They don't raise revenue. We don't need government meddling in commerce. Trump has done the right thing here by removing excessive taxes and ensuring prosperity and free-enterprise. There is a huge trade deficit in coffee sales caused by Biden. Trump has fixed that.
Look, the law is the law and even djt has to follow it, but it’s not crazy to make a distinction here. 15,16,17 year olds are not exactly children. In most European nations these girls would be free to have as much sex with 50 year old men as they wished. We do have an unusually high age of consent in this country. just for context.

Good lord. Epstein was advising Russia on how to deal with DJT. Epstein could have sold all kinds of dirt on Trump to Moscow. which would explain why Trump was so subservient to Putin in those early years.

We can't grow coffee in the US (except small amounts in Hawaii and a couple of other areas). Eliminating a tariff on coffee - except for Brazil, as they're a hostile country - makes sense.
It's a good thing that that wasn't also the case for every second between the inauguration and today.
Some were abusers or party to the abuse. Some of them were Democrats, some were Republicans, and some were not strongly either.
Some of the biggest names may have been involved to that extent, but perhaps not. You can imagine why people might suspect the worst, but you really need very solid, credible evidence before leveling such charges. That includes Trump and it includes Clinton.
Many people made a deal with the devil by befriending Epstein in spite of indications that he was shady. Some had little indication and may have been overly naive, some just stuck their head in the sand, and some basically knew but did nothing or else severed ties too late. Again, you’ll find some of those people in business, some in academia, and some in politics. Some Democrats and some Republicans.
A bunch of rank and file Dems on the internet, along with a bunch of elected Dems, are going to try to overplay their hand on Trump for the thousandth time to try to act as though they’ll get evidence of the worst kind of wrongdoing. In a situation where 5/10 is terrible, they’re going to keep doubling down to claim that it’s 11. And so then, even if it turns out that the president’s level of culpability is 6 (which, granted, it may not even be), and which would be its own kind of horror show, a whole bunch of the guy’s supporters are just going to turn that back on all those Dems because the awful outcome just didn’t happen to be as awful as they claimed.
And you’ll have a bunch of people who really earnestly in their hearts lower the detestable behavior and would prefer justice for the victims.
But for most of them, their tribal sense of politics is going to act against that better impulse, they’ll rationalize away any criticism of their own side at least partially because of the vehemence with which they detest crimes on the other side, and we’ll all just continue our race to the bottom.
MEGYN KELLY (HOST): As for Epstein, I've said this before, but just as a reminder, I do know somebody very, very close to this case who is in a position to know virtually everything. Not everything, but virtually everything. And this person has told me from the start years and years ago that Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile. This is this person's view, who was there for a lot of this, but that he was into the barely legal type. Like, he liked 15-year-old girls. And I realized this is disgusting. I'm definitely not trying to make an excuse for this. I'm just giving you facts, that he wasn't into, like, 8-year-olds. But he liked the very young teen types that could pass for even younger than they were, but would look legal to a passerby.
The whole quote, if accurate, is absurd, bad, etc.. But I can't even make sense of the last sentence. Young teens who look even younger (10-12?), but could pass for legal (18) ?!?!

Good and defensible nuance. Most would agree that there is a difference between 15 and 8.
But I'd also say that a grown man having sex with a 15-year old is almost certainly abusing her (morally, if not legally, depending on the country). What fraction of sexual relationships between a grown man and 15-year aren't going to be negative, and perhaps very negative, for the 15-year old? 99+%?

Trump is fighting tooth and nail to have them ALL released. The Dems are blocking the release.
