Some of the really awful people in Minnesota were the ones chanting “Kristi Noem will hang.” They and the “Hang Mike Pence” folks are birds of a feather, no matter what other differences they might have and how much they’d hate to be lumped together.
One of the few decent things in the demonstration was hearing a number of their fellow protestors try to oppose that reprehensible chant.

That was awful and it’s a shame that you’re “fine” with it, even though it was a more justifiable shooting (mostly less because of Babbitt’s actions alone but because of the immediate threat of breaching a barrier from all around her. I.e., it’s highly unlikely an officer would have fired if she’d been there alone trying to get through a broken window).

One reason some officer training changed to instruct officers not to stand in front of a vehicle: concerns that some officers were using that as an excuse to fire their weapon in circumstances where it shouldn’t have been necessary (I have no evidence that there was any such intent in this case. That’s just one reason for a policy change and part of the general standard especially for de-ecalating the situation when people don’t comply or appear unreasonable in other ways).

I’m not sure how bad he is. Maybe he’s this bad, but I think he’s at least half trolling/playing a character. And he’s not the worst one in this thread or on the boards.
There are, and have always been, worse people in America and elsewhere in the world. One thing to remember — and something he doesn’t seem to understand — is that some of them are on the left and some of them are on the right.
You probably know that of your fellow Americans are decent people, even if they voted for a different political party, one with leaders who act in ways you find unfathomable.
There’s something common among the people who want to see the world burn (or who think they are true and just in the face of another “side” that is evil in every imaginable way, which tends toward a similar outcome): They want everyone else to think in either-or terms. They feed on your rage and despair. Social media helps them build an alternate reality to support their degraded world view.
It too often feels futile when you see so many people who say vile things and seem untethered to the truth. They can’t stand the possibility of reasonable, respectful, good-faith debate. You may want to disengage, because you’re unlikely to develop that here.
But there are people all over America who want nothing to do with the hatred the far left and far right feel. They just want to live decent lives in peace.
