Chiara Dailey's time is exactly the same (16:52.7) as Amaya Bharadwaj's. Anyone know what NXN would do if they end up tied for 5th in the merge?
That’s a really good question. They are currently tied for 3rd in the merge with D1 still to run. Is Dailey planning to run NXN now that she has the golden ticket for Brooks?

Your reporter on the course here. I just talked to Chiara Dailey and she said if she finishes top 5 she is leaning towards not going to NXN and resting for Brooks but she hasn't totally ruled out going to NXN. She said as soon as the D1 race finishes, if she's still top 5, she'll decide then.
So I guess I'll need to find her again in an hour and ask her again.

Possibly, but not likely. D1 is next and that’s where Buchanan, Santiago, and Mira Costa are at. Unless 1 or 2 of the D1 teams wet the bed tdy then they probably won’t qualify but who knows.

Before the merge on raw times, Buchanan, MiCo, TH, JSerra, AW. My Dark Horse El Toro will have to wait until next year. They're state champions and can hold their heads high.

This is not the merge. This is combined results. The power merge takes top 16 teams ( unless it been changed) then they recalculate and that result is what they use to determine who's going to NxN and gets an at- large spot.

Either way Buchanan and Mira Costa will still be 1-2. The gap between the 2nd and 3rd team is big enough to know that these will be the two autoquals
Based on my unofficial calculations this is the power merge, assuming I didn't make any mistakes on my spreadsheet:
1 Buchanan 121 2 Mira Costa 145 3 Trabuco Hills 161 4 JSerra Catholic 162 5 Santiago Corona 169 6 Archie Williams 187 7 Whitney 214 8 El Toro 221 9 Davis 222 10 Claremont 224 11 St. Francis-Sac 237 12 Santa Margarita 237 13 Westlake 257 14 Sage Creek 259 15 Point Loma 287 16 Great Oak 290
