As they say, buy when there is blood in the streets. It's not bloody enough, yet. It's coming. Don't buy in until the average person is saying "I can't believe we ever thought bitcoin was going to be a thing, lol." Set your buy orders for 10k-15k

Why would anyone with Coinbase holdings not liquidate whatever holdings they may have especially after the CEO said their crytocurrency holdings may be at risk?

This is so irresponsible. All crypto is a negative sum game. There is no inherent value at all in it and it was / is inevitable it'll be worthless eventually. Anyone with any sense of objectivity can see that and the only people who say otherwise are just trolls trying to pump their crypto positions. FOMO be damned.

Brokerage accounts are not FDIC insured. They are covered by SIPC insurance which has higher limits than FDIC.

It took N.Y.S.E. to 1954 or so to return to level of pre-1929 drop in value. I would rather own blue chip equities and possess AAA corporate bonds than mess around with alternative currencies. Companies like Apple, Intel and Microsoft pulled N.A.S.D.A.Q. back to 5000. Apple, Intel and Microsoft are not the same as alternative currency. You alternative currency traders are fighting against people who went to college and obtained degrees in accounting, economics and finance. I wonder who is going to win? How are the people who bought crypto from the Super Bowl advertising going to perform? So far they’re ONLY down maybe 40% by going all in by following Matt Damon, Tom Brady, etc. and ignoring Larry David’s skepticism ?
