When the NY court ruled against the NY state's Democrat redistricting plan, you used it as an example of Democrats doing the right thing.
When the FL court ruled against the FL state's Republican redistricting plan, you used it as an example of Republicans overreaching.
Do you have some kind of amnesia where you forget everything you posted 6 months ago? Or do you just not even try to be fair anymore?
classic intellectually dishonest both sides-ing.
We all know that the Rs have, for decades, been wildly more radical about gerrymandering than the Ds. But guys like Hardloper say 'ok, 88 gerrymanders for the Rs, 12 for the Ds, sounds like a great time to both-sides it!.'
It's not intellectually honest.
The below is about Wisconsin, but you could cite 10 other red states that are just about as bad. Apparently of the 10 worst gerrymanders, only MD is a blue state. 9 of 10 of the worst gerrymanderers are red states. That is why Hardloper's relentless need to 'both sides' this are intellectually dishonest. I mean look at this. It's an affront, it's unethical, it's anti-American, it's destructive to the nation.
Wisconsin is widely considered the most gerrymandered state in the country. In 2022, Wisconsin voters elected a Democratic governor, attorney general, and secretary of state in state-level elections unaffected by gerrymandering (because they use the total statewide vote instead of separating it by district). On a district level, by comparison, the state's infamous gerrymandering enabled Republicans to retain a 64-35 advantage in the state Assembly and a 22-11 majority in the state Senate.
This is literally an opinion article, citing other opinion articles written by Democrats, with no data to back up rankings, and who apparently have never heard of Illinois. The only decent, data-driven source linked was Fivethirtyeight, but this source was not actually used to come up with these "rankings."

Need to do a lot better than that.
focus on the real issue. Don't sidestep by complaining about articles.
do you reject the idea that R gerrymandering has been materially worse than D gerrymandering over the past few decades?
or you do just want to insist all is the same and judgments cannot be made? Because if you insist that all is the same, then in my eyes you will have stopped working in good faith.
I mean I say all kinds of bad things about Democrats and Biden. Proves I am workign in good faith. Maybe you can take a step up and recognize what is right in front of your nose, plain to see?

Reminder that because of the Republican Party the Marines and other branches of the service are not able to run as designed or plan ahead because the Republicans won't let them have a leader.
Here the nominated Marine is waiting for the Republicans to confirm him so he can let the Corps know what is coming down the pike and get ready for it...but nah he can't. Because of the Republican Party.
But yeah both parties are equally bad. /sarc
“People say, ‘What’s your commandant’s planning guidance?’” Smith said, referring to a major document that the Marine Corps leader typically distributes at the outset of his term, to set priorities and expectations for the 200,000 active-duty troops and reservists under his command. The general’s reply: “You’ll have to ask the 39th commandant when that person is confirmed,” he said, “because I cannot work on that document.”
Gen. Eric Smith, handcuffed by Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s promotion blockade, charts a steady, careful path to ready his Marines for America’s next major conflict.

Gerrymandering: invented and practiced by Democrats for over 200 years, but when Republicans saw it and got good at it for a few decades it was suddenly a thread to democracy, but then Democrats caught up to the point where it looks like they were net benificiaries in 2022 (I posted my analysis a while back) but you'll probably never stop pearl clutching about Wisconsin while ignoring Illinois so what's the point.

Where you lose all credibility is when thinking Desantis is tearing up the constitution for doing things Democrats do as a matter of routine. Or even freaking Peter Meijer.

Hey name some times a Dem governor has used his political power to punish a private company, because the Dem didn't like the company's conservative politics. If it is a matter of routine, you should be able to rattle off 5-6 examples right away.

200 years. Ok man. Hey, the Democratic Party was once the party of slavery and so it must still be, amirite? Come on. Lame.
Yes, the Dems were forced to gerrymander because the Rs were maniacal about it for decades, shredding norms. if the Dems didn't fight back it would have been more decades of unilateral disarmament.
Just another example of 'conservatives' leading the nation into the gutter. Lots of those lately, unfortunately.
