One of Trump's wisest moves, and the thing that probably kept him out of jail over the decades, is that he doesn't use email so he hasn't left incriminating notes.
But did he let down his guard on Twitter? A judge gave the Feds access to all direct messages Trump sent from his Twitter account. Deleted ones too. Seems important.
The federal prosecutors who charged former President Donald J. Trump this month with conspiring to overturn the 2020 election got access this winter to a trove of so-called direct messages that Mr. Trump sent others privately through his Twitter account, according to court papers unsealed on Tuesday.

A special prosecutor will be appointed to examine Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones’s (R) actions following the 2020 election in the wake of former President Trump’s new indictment, according to a state official.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) on Monday charged Trump and 18 other individuals in connection with her election investigation, but she was barred from bringing charges against Jones because of a conflict of interest.Jones, a former state senator who signed documents purporting to be one of Georgia’s valid presidential electors, appears to be the eighth of 30 unindicted co-conspirators who were not named but were described in Monday’s charging documents.

Biden broke his silence on the Maui wildfires at an event in Wisconsin Tuesday, saying that he would visit Hawaii soon.
"My wife Jill and I are gonna travel to Hawaii as soon as we can, and that's what I've been talking to the governor about. I don't want to get in the way. I've been to too many disaster areas, but I want to go and make sure they've got everything they need, and I want to be sure we don't disrupt the ongoing recovery efforts," he said.You will visit Hawaii soon?!? You were laying on the beach for a week! You have your own airplane all gassed up and ready to go! You could be there in a few hours! Oh, you want to spend a few more days sleeping on a cot at the beach?

FYI the Fed thinks the US economy is growing at a blistering 5.8% per year right now. After inflation.
That is one of the highest numbers we've seen, other than pandemic bounce-back numbers.

So much faux outrage. Biden is doing the same thing previous presidents have done following disasters. They typically wait to visit for several days until things have calmed somewhat. He doesn’t have to be there to activate federal emergency management resources. Biden is doing exactly what his predecessors did in similar circumstances.
