Call me crazy, but if they bleached their mustaches, wouldn't that make their staches lighter, like bleached blonde? Regardless, I thought it looked pretty stupid, but then again, that might be because I still can't grow one myself.

You do realize a lot of the Tommies bleached their moustaches so they were darker, right?
if anyone in this conference thinks that bleaching would somehow make hair darker, they should probably transfer to a wiac school.
Dyed, bleached, same concept, and I used the wrong word. Whatever. You can call it whatever you want. We'll call it "darkened" for Christ sakes. The fact of the matter is, they made them darker on purpose.
Damn those Tommies. How dare they try to trick us with their unnaturally darkened mustaches. This is a complete disregard for Cross Country facial hair tradition and I personally will not stand for it!
i didnt see any tommies with bright yellow mustaches? Bleached and darkened are not the same thing...big boy how does that crow taste?
Bottom Line Time:
- Greeno peaked and will not beat Ruon again this year
- Anyone who saw the MIAC meet knows that anything could happen at regionals team wise
- Tommies' mustaches were gay. Fake darkening? WTF?
My Regionals Predictions:
Luther
St. Olaf
Nebraska Wesleyan
St. Thomas
Hamline
Bethal
Who know's though.
weather for saturday looks cold, windy, and snowy. How will this affect everyone?

Like every other jackass has said to adverse weather conditions, it will effect everyone the same. That being said, the cold might suck, but a hard course will make for some ridiculously fast times, even if it is only 35 degrees on race day.
As for the Greeno/Ruon debate, it's hard to say. Either Greeno has already peaked and is completely f*cked for the rest of the season, or he was working through conference to some extent, and has his best races yet to come. I guess we'll find out Saturday.
I wouldn't be surprised if Greeno wasn't completely tapered for conference, at least to the extent that some of the other runners who beat him may have been. I'm sure Greeno would have loved to win conference but Bethel didn't have a great chance at a team title and he will try to run his best at nationals.
Also, as I recall, Erichsen and Fermoyle took 1st and 2nd last year at conference but Greeno ran better at regionals and nationals beating Fermoyle and going on to All-American honors. I think Greeno will win the region but then again, I thought he would take the conference title so who knows?
The course may not be that hard, it may rain some before the meet, and perhaps during if it's a little warmer.
Wow...how about Tim Miles and the Johnnies pulling off 2nd place??

Looks like good races by Greeno and Gleason
Dear "yes",
1. Print this thread.
2. Tear into strips.
3. Shove the strips in your mouth.
4. Chew the strips... ruminate on the papery pulp.
5. Swallow (heard you are good at that).
Stick a fork in Ruon... he's done.
Bad luck to you,
PH

I forget, is it top 4 individuals that go to nationals like Div I, or more?
Had you been at the race, you would know that Ruon led the entire way, in very windy conditions. There was a pack of 15-20 guys running together, and there were a few individuals (the ones who finished in the top 5) that sat perfectly in the middle of the pack. To finish well today, you needed to run a smart race. McKay and Gleason are examples of guys who ran tactically smart races and ended up benefiting from it. Ruon will find his way to an AA award at nats.
Ruon was in it till the end. He lost the sprint because he tightened up due to the cold. Recall he did that earlier this year also.
Ruon slowed up and sort of half jogged, half walked while clutching his sides for about 10 seconds with only 300 or so meters left. Then started back up running again. It was very surprising to see.
Unfortunately, Dobuol does not run well in the cold. His back locks up and affects his stride. It happened in the outdoor conference 5k last year, and jim drews, and regionals this fall. Nats looks like it will be in the 50s though.
