More facts. For the freedom lovers down in Florida.
On September 25, 2020, Governor DeSantis lifted all Covid restrictions on Florida businesses.
https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/09/25/916969969/floridas-governor-lifts-all-covid-19-restrictions-on-businesses-statewideSeptember 24, 2020. 2401 cases, 105 deaths (7 day averages).
September 24, 2021. 7730 cases, 311 deaths (7 day averages).
https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/region/us/floridaBy the way, Massachusetts has about a third of the population of Florida, so if you tripled the Massachusetts numbers, you see that the "tyranny" in Massachusetts apparently worked to prevent a lot of deaths.
But of course, your analysis is pretty simplistic anyway. You are ignoring the more stringent mitigation efforts that were being employed in 2020 that many people stopped employing in 2021. You are also ignoring the rise of the Delta variant. And discussing the number of cases is pretty much a waste of time; the vaccines prevent severe disease and deaths, but their effectiveness in preventing positive cases is not as well established.
Massachusetts was hit hard by Covid during the worst days in the spring of 2020. Widespread infection probably left a large percentage of the population with natural immunity. I live in Massachusetts and I am unvaccinated. I have had barely a sniffle in these past 20 months.
And yes, there was an element of tyranny to Governor Baker's executive orders. In late 2020, we were ordered to wear masks OUTSIDE regardless of social distancing. You could be outdoors with nobody within a thousand feet of you and if you were unmasked, you were violating his order. That from a Governor who insisted his policies would be guided by science.
Massachusetts State of Emergency declared: 2020-03-10 Days since: 610
First mRNA shots administered in the US: 2020-12-14 Days since: 331
And yet, Massachusetts appears to have done much better in limiting deaths from Covid when compared with a "it's just the flu, let's party" state like Florida, particularly if you compare how they've done more recently, when better treatment modalities have been developed and the vaccines have been available.
Ironically, your "natural immunity" theory seems to be undermined by the article you just posted about the Covid outbreak at the concert in Germany. The people allowed in to that concert were both those that were vaccinated and those that had recovered from Covid, i.e. those that should have had robust natural immunity. The article doesn't break down how many in each group got Covid (or got it again), but maybe natural immunity isn't as bullet proof as some people are suggesting.
If you look at Florida's numbers, they also undermine the argument that natural immunity will keep the numbers low, as Florida has had a spike in cases and deaths which started more than 18 months into the pandemic. As of July 1, 2021, just before the state had a spike in both cases and deaths, they had a total of about 2.3 million cases of Covid (in a state with about 21 million people). In Massachusetts, as of June 1, 2020 (just after their initial spike), they had a total of about 100K cases (in a state with about 7 million people). If your argument is that Massachusetts did well after the initial spike due to natural immunity, then Florida never should have seen the numbers it has seen over the past 4 months, since it actually had a greater percentage of people with natural immunity.
I hope you haven't suffered PTSD or some other type of permanent traumatic injury from having to wear a mask, I know it can be burdensome for some people.
https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/region/us/floridahttps://wusfnews.wusf.usf.edu/health-news-florida/2021-07-02/florida-coronavirus-cases-positivity-rate-and-more-for-july-2I understand that you think that masks aren't as effective as people want them to be or say they are, but even if they were 1% more effective than no mask, wouldn't you just wear the mask on the chance that you could be protecting someones grandma or other family member? Wearing a mask is really not hard at all. Everyone who has just been wearing them as instructed is already used to them. I don't like wearing a mask, I wish I didn't have to, but it is not hard whatsoever for me to just put one on. At this point its routine and in fact i prefer wearing one so I don't have to smell people lol.
Wow one day without posting for me and we get 5 new pages dunking on boomer antivaxxers.
These denier-fearmonger guys are gluttons for punishment. They’ll happily log on daily, post hilariously incorrect assertions or just make up implausible theories, and then get owned repeated for hours.
Some would call it a kink.

Speaking of grifters making up data.
"When polls said only about half of all Americans would take a vaccine, I was saying herd immunity would take 70 to 75 percent ... Then, when newer surveys said 60 percent or more would take it, I thought, "I can nudge this up a bit," so I went to 80, 85. We need to have some humility here .... We really don’t know what the real number is. I think the real range is somewhere between 70 to 90 percent. But, I'm not going to say 90 percent."

What the heck? He's been vaccinated! When I first saw the headline I thought this must be an unvaccinated player that the NFL is going to make an example of. But he's been vaccinated! - that's not suppose to happen according to the "experts." What gives?
You can't have people ending up in the hospital from the disease you're vaccinating against - a complete failure in this case!

Starting to believe that every antivaxxer on here is a complete troll or has a kink for self-humiliation. A 5 year old kid can poke holes in the crap they post here. Then again, the way antivaxxers/antimaskers/covid deniers behave in public would lead you to believe they have the mindset of a pampered toddler to begin with.

It's all retired guys living off the government telling everyone they should be sociopathically unconcerned with their fellow Americans.
Classic "I got mine" mentality.

Can anyone name any NFL players who are not vaxxed and have had to go to hospital for Covid?

What is it about these reality deniers that they can do nothing but name call?
Vaxxed NFLer hospitalized for Covid.
No non vaxxed ones are hospitalized for Covid.
Your response this is name calling?
Sad!
A Minnesota Vikings player who is vaccinated was hospitalized Tuesday because he was having trouble breathing because of COVID-19, coach Mike Zimmer said Wednesday.
According to a source, the player is offensive guard Dakota Dozier, who was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday.
He is in stable condition now, per Zimmer, but remains hospitalized.
"It's serious stuff, so, I don't know," Zimmer said. "Like 29 guys are getting tested because of close contact, including myself. Just do what we do."
When asked whether the player's reaction was to the vaccine (booster) or COVID-19, Zimmer said: "No, it was COVID. I'm not a doctor, but it was COVID pneumonia or something -- he had a hard time breathing."
Not the vaccine?
Question -- when did he get his most recent jab?
