"Pandemic of the unvaccinated" CONFIRMED

Rather than casting about for different countries that might support an anti-vax theory momentarily if we don't actually know what the numbers' source is, why not look to the U.S. of A. COVID infection rates are 5x for unvaccinated vs. vaccinated, hospitalization and death rates are 12x higher for unvaccinated than vaccinated people.

I got Covid back in August. My mom got it. My son got it, my dad died, and I weighed less than I did as a high school junior over 25 years ago by the time it was over. I'm not vaccinated, and I'm not getting vaccinated. There are way too many unknowns, especially long-term, without thorough unbiased testing on mRNA gene therapy, which is not a vaccine. Plus you have to have a level of trust in authorities and interests that have proven repeatedly that the common person is not a concern of primacy. I cannot raise myself to that trust level, not enough close.

I can only speak anecdotally, but the treatment is what killed my dad. Wrong drugs, wrong treatment. Too much bureaucratic red tape.

November 9, 2020 we had a statewide curfew at the hands of the tyrant Charlie Baker. We had no vaccine, and as we all know masks don't work. Now we have a vaccine, and 70% of the state is vaccinated. LOOK AT THE DATA BELOW,

November 9, 2020 - 1184 cases - 2.34% positive rate - 13 deaths

November 9, 2021 - 1397 cases - 2.05% positive rate - 24 deaths

Interesting. One of the reasons I like LetsRun in spite of its faults is that I get to see information that I wouldn't find on my own. Here's another bit of very interesting trivia on covid. Last year, cases and deaths increased during flu season (as you would expect) with the slope of new cases and deaths rising starting on Nov 1 and decreasing in early February.

So far as of November 8, the case rate/death rates have NOT increased. This is great news! Either the flu season is starting later due to unseasonably warm weather or the combined effect of vaccinations and natural immunity is preventing a rise in cases. See chart below. BTW, for over a month earlier this year, this official CDC chart STOPPED WORKING! It's the nation's leading source of data on covid, but they couldn't even manage their own website. Yet another reason why I don't blindly trust everything coming out of the CDC.

After the link opens, go to the left hand menu, click on Cases, Deaths and Testing, then click on the link immediately below it (Daily and Total Trends) Then under View Left Axis, click where it reads Daily Cases. A drop down menu will appear. Click on Cumulative Cases and you will see a trendline chart.

Then to see some really insightful data, hit the drop-down menu again to look at the data by age, race, and obesity. OH WAIT... YOU CAN'T! Not only can't you do that. The daily trends in these criteria cannot be found anywhere on the CDC website.

Let's assume you're in a high-risk category... African American... and you want to see what the trends are in your race. And then in your race and age group. The data is NOT THERE.

It's not surprising. Rochelle Walensky testified under oath that she didn't know how many of HER OWN EMPLOYEES at the CDC were vaccinated!

This is an amazing post.. His dad dies from covid, , the OP gets seriously sick from it and loses a ton of weight and he still finds a way to not believe in vaccinations!

The actual data for that state is irrelevant to me. If it was relevant, I'd look up a source myself. The point is that I became aware of it.

As far as carmine9 is concerned, I don't know any of these anonymous posters so I'd independently verify their data before acting on it. However, I'd thank him for posting it because it's a perspective I hadn't thought about that I might want to pursue.

For example, it triggered me to look at my own state.... 7 day cumulative case rates on 8Nov20 and 8Nov21 were 2731 and 998 respectively.

In my county, there's about 1 active case for every 9,000 people right now.

That’s a false statement fueled by bogus statistics. If you look at places where they actually still track the data (cdc stopped tracking on May 1), it is far less convincing.

The actual data is irrelevant to pretty much everyone. In so far as I checked, the numbers are accurate, but cherry-picked as a vehicle for the perspective which is "Gov Charlie Baker is a tyrant" (subjective at best) and the implication that vaccines are not effective (objectively false).

Kudos for looking at the 7 day average for your state as not doing this is a key part of carmine9's shell game.

More facts. For the freedom lovers down in Florida.

On September 25, 2020, Governor DeSantis lifted all Covid restrictions on Florida businesses.

September 24, 2020. 2401 cases, 105 deaths (7 day averages).

September 24, 2021. 7730 cases, 311 deaths (7 day averages).

By the way, Massachusetts has about a third of the population of Florida, so if you tripled the Massachusetts numbers, you see that the "tyranny" in Massachusetts apparently worked to prevent a lot of deaths.

But of course, your analysis is pretty simplistic anyway. You are ignoring the more stringent mitigation efforts that were being employed in 2020 that many people stopped employing in 2021. You are also ignoring the rise of the Delta variant. And discussing the number of cases is pretty much a waste of time; the vaccines prevent severe disease and deaths, but their effectiveness in preventing positive cases is not as well established.

Massachusetts was hit hard by Covid during the worst days in the spring of 2020. Widespread infection probably left a large percentage of the population with natural immunity. I live in Massachusetts and I am unvaccinated. I have had barely a sniffle in these past 20 months.

And yes, there was an element of tyranny to Governor Baker's executive orders. In late 2020, we were ordered to wear masks OUTSIDE regardless of social distancing. You could be outdoors with nobody within a thousand feet of you and if you were unmasked, you were violating his order. That from a Governor who insisted his policies would be guided by science.
