Official 2017 D3 Cross Country Thread

In H.S.? Nope. Wartburg hasn't had a XC A.A. since 2008 and Bennett Moser was their first Track A.A. since 2008 as well. moser was a 4:30/9:20 guy. Kaszinski was a 4:30/9:30 guy...Frawley 4:25/9:45...Appleton wasn't far off but only ran a 4:35...the rest of the team was WAY off...Wartburg SUCKED between 2008 and track 2016...made xc natties for first time in forever just in 2016...so outside of the older Moser brothers (maybe), I can't think of any other 4:30/9:45 guys last 8 years

the south is a joke but cnu did finish 11th so cant call them a joke anymore

Brian Chenoweth was multi-time AA in track in 2009. Jon Stover was in the Steeple a few years later. Just because you can't think of any doesn't mean there weren't. You are correct that they weren't very good for awhile, under-performed for the talent levels they had. Looked a lot better the last 1-2 years.

Chenoweth was 9 seasons ago. I said 7-8. He was the last great one. In fact, the last xc all American. Stover was mediocre as hell coming in. I do agree with the last post though. Nobody is touching loras in the region.

You said Moser was the first track AA since 08. You were wrong.

Indoor Track I was right. Outdoor track Chenoweth in 2009 and Stover took 8th in the steeple in 2011. I think the gist remains...not a lot of good recruits in the last 8 years.

Question for you guys. Sometimes I get dehydrated on long runs. Do you think it would be a good idea to run with a natty or 2 to keep me from bonking at the end? My reasoning is that dehydration is not desirable for training adaptations.

I always run with one of these to make sure I stay hydrated during my long runs.

I was able to power through my 5 years in college by drinking nothing but cool, refreshing whole milk from the cows that stand guard over our quaint, little Purple Valley. I strongly suggest staying away from alcohol, as it can have detrimental effects on human physiology. If you're really feeling the urge to knock back a cold one with the boys, I suggest sticking with O'Douls!

Maybe it's just me, but I really don't think North Central will win this year. Yah I know they return a ton of firepower, way more than any other school, but their performance at outdoor Nattys was very disappointing. I'm putting my money on another school, like MIT or Loras. idk I guess will see what happens
