If I have to do 400m reps at 10K pace, my first rep is within +/- 2 seconds, because I know what 10K pace feels like.If I have to do 400m reps at mile pace, I can feel the difference. There is no danger of "falling into a comfort zone". I can hit these targets with pretty decent precision, without wearing a stopwatch or HRM, or running on a track.You pretend that LT training, whatever that is, is physiological, while presuming that everyone is numb to physiological effects.I'm all for subtitles for the hearing impaired, but that doesn't mean you have to stop listening.
