Rupp, who appeared a bit flat, would have just run the doors off a guy who specializes at shorter distances than rupp does, got a silver medal at 5000 and let the world last year at that event. And rupp would have the fastest time for indoor 3000 this year.

He got beat by a guy who rans awesome, and is awesome, but still has to prove his consistency. I'd bet the family farm that he is closer to rupps age, than a junior, maybe even older because my eyes and brain still do work. But that really doesn't matter. He is a 7:32 - 12:49 man.

If Rupp can have less than stellar day and make a silver medalist and 12:46 guy look like an also ran, we are looking at good things.

Keep in mind Rupp runs well indoors, but only uses it as a means towards outdoors. Sure everyone does that as well, but most will focus hard on the races they run and worry about outdoors when it comes.

Rupp now takes down 12:4x and 26:4x/26:5x guys on a regular basis and is quickly stamping himself as one of THE guys to beat. Let's not forget that these two taile rupp for the first 2k and one of them was never in front of him.

Flash back to 3 years ago when many people said Rupp would never go under 13:00, 27:00 and never medal. Now haters only spotlight is when he doesn't win a race against the fastest in the world.

There is no way HG is 18 LOL. People are so gullible! That guy is easily 25, maybe 30. He already has a ton of wrinkles LOL. Give him credit- he is fast- but he is in no ways 18, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's a few years older and more developed than Rupp.

When Rupp is that age he will dominate him.

Question: In this video, I don't see Salazar illegally standing on the back stretch coaching Rupp. Did New Balance not allow this the way Nike meets do? Did it cost Rupp the race, since he's become accustomed to that special treatment?
