You should stay away from the commercial sh*t Charlie. It's gonna get you in the end.
breakfast
homemade protein shake
lunch
salad greens with shredded carrot, shredded cabbage, 5 mushrooms, raw cauliflower.
snack
gluten free rice chex mix 100g
dinner
mixed raw vegetables and salad greens
snack
gluten free rice chex mix 200g
chickens
fishes
protein shakes
sip mountain dew all day
a little yogurt
and a limited amount of disgusting grains like soy-free bread.
About 3000 calories total, 180 pounds of brutally powerful muscle and fast for my weight.
And not askaird of nay-saying veggie-tarians.

Like it got my grandparents, all but 3 of whom lived to 90 years or older and died without ever having cancer, heart disease or other major disorder? And none ever lived in a nursing home. One was 96! (The other one, a heavy equipment operator, was killed in a work accident when I was 3).
Dollars to donuts (hehe) I live longer than you.
And no, they didn't eat all natural stuff from the farm. Bought their food at the Piggly Wiggly like everybody else. We're southern, so they ate lots of pork, seasoned vegetables with salt and animal fat, and fried everything else. (Not that I recommend this diet, mind you.)
Moderation in everything. You don't have to obsess over the source of every calorie you ingest to be healthy. Going to grill some feed-lot beef now. What they hey, it's my birthday week...

WHERE'S the protein? Add some quality protein (wild salmon, organic grass fed beef, free range chicken or turkey, etc.) at least 2-3x a week and you'll be good.
ok! thank you Sports Nutrition Director. I'm vegetarian, so what is some non meat protein you can recommend?

Haha, ain't skeered neither. Enjoy that chicken and fish, bro! And I'm guessing you don't catch your fish yourself from pristine North Atlantic waters and eat it the same day. Probably buy it from - gasp! - a giant corporate fishing operation.
Awesome stuff, that Mountain Dew...
Morning shakeout
Breakfast-oatmeal with strawberries and bananas.
Lunch- Grilled tempeh burger on veggies
PM Run with the team
Dinner- Cereal with skim milk and Froyo! (the meat looks so gross and fatty)
Snack later- m n ms.

Well, if you're adament about vegetarianism, then I would recommend nuts (almonds, walnuts, macadamias, etc.), beans/lentils, brown rice, quinoa, and almond milk as your best sources. Strict vegetarianism has proven to be not the healthiest diet on a long term basis. I would strongly recommend at least some occasional intake of fish and/or foul and/or animal protein to keep a good balance.
Breakfast: coffee with whole milk and one teaspoon of sugar
Lunch: turkey sub with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, horseradish, mayo; two bananas
Snack: cottage cheese, nuts, or fruit (sometimes all three); or, peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Dinner: taco night; ziti with meat sauce; pizza; thai (basically anything)
Dessert: pineapple, watermelon, scotch
MPW: 55-65
I'm 21 years old and run between 60 and 80 miles per week.
I usually drink coffee with half and half or cream when I wake up or after my run. I usually run in a fasted state if I run in the AM.
I mostly eat eggs, meat, fish, and vegetables and fruits. I'll also eat a ton of sweet potatoes, potatoes, and root vegetables. I have white rice often as well.
I eat about 2-3 meals a day, although once or twice a week I'll graze and eat 5-6 times. I snack on carrots and avocados, berries, and coconut butter. I'll have dark chocolate or ice cream if I'm looking for a healthy treat.
Sometimes I'll eat junk like chips or junk food, but usually once every week or so.
thats all you eat??? on 50-80 mi/week. that just seems like not a lot of food. but maybe I'm wrong.
These days I will drink hot green tea (in the summer-cold) in the morning and have Coach's Oats w/few slices of banana and dash of XAGAVE or almond milk in it for breakfast. Then an hour later (if I'm doing a later workout..), I will have a Ucan or drink this only prior to a hard workout.
Lunch-either a salad, or soup or leftovers.
Dinner-Something homemade and some sort of alcohol beverage.
In between snacks, whether it be earlier or later in the day-fruit, hummus w/veggies or Twizzlers.
Now compare this thread of absolute ridiculousness, with the typical Kenyan diet and see why this kind of silly obsession with artificial "diets" is pure nonsense.
Eat normal-people food, and if you want to run fast, train hard, get some rest and have some FUN! Jeez.
does nobody here eat red meat?
I'm not a fan of red meat. I rarely eat it (maybe 2-3x/year or so?)

I like red meat but the meals I posted were for a typical day. I try to limit how much red meat I eat because it is difficult for me to consume it in moderation. I've been known to eat a family size steak in one sitting.

Typical Kenyan diet is clean/devoid of tons of chemically enhanced food or hormoned up meat.

I eat it very often, probably almost daily.
