It's not a race, it's an obstacle course. Sounds like fun. I have no problem with these events.
Look anything that gets hot young ladies in the mud is not a bad thing. And I know a lot of dudes who are willing to pay pay-per-view for that sort of thing.
Seriously though, they don't call it a race but an event. I'm ok with it. Anything to get this fat ass generation off the couch.
But it does make you wonder if these events are so popular how can things like this (running though a mud pit) be incorporated into cross country? While track is about speed, and cross country has become now as well, most people I talk to want to put hills back into cross country and take out the 5-6 x 2k loops. Why not throw in some mud pits, hot girls in mud pits and grow the sport. It's dead anyways, gotta try something sooner or later.
And on a serious note, a Maxim Hot 100 Tough Mudder list is definitely needed.
