My question about Aish running a sub-30 10k was in response to the poster who was, in effect, trying to say that Aish, with his dated PR's, wasn't a 2:15 marathoner any more, so he wasn't really of high class when he ran Leadville. The implication was that a current 2:15 or better would have been competitive.
If the response was, "yes, he could run sub 30, then Aish was probably still faster than the whole field lining up for Leadville. And, as you know, the fastest guy at shorter distances doesn't often win in 100 mile races.
