rono smashed wrs for 3k/3k sc/5k/10k in '78
please explore your vast numbskull to explain how he didn't win a gold in '80 in at least one of those 3 events he held the wr in
offer idiot...
What nonsense are you babbling idioot? Malinowski and Yifter won those events. Rono didn't even make the final.
Hmmm, I think whatever Rudisha does in Paris, a few posters to this board will be gettin' into their cups.

moron
explain why he didn't win 3ksc or 5k or 10k finals
idiot
tell us where he finished in those 3 races ???
fecking moron. If he wan't in the final, how could he win the race?
In 1980, he was 13:12,54 -> 13:15,16 at most and could not be expected to win against Yifter and 27:23,65 -> 27:27,76.

waht is this 13'12.54 or 13'15.16 bullshit ???
don't you even know the stats ???
worlds's fastest time in '80 was 13'16.38
what is this 27'23.65 or 27'27.76 crap ???
world's fastest time in '80 was 27'29.16
you are clueless moron
Idiot! I used my calculator to show what he should of run at 200m altitude and 19 C in an evenly paced race. For Yifter this corresponds to 13'10.23 -> 13:13.06. Clearly, Rono could not beat Yifter in 1980. Now whose the MORON!

"Peaking too early" is part of American-Born Distance Runner Syndrome. (Along with chronic DNSing and DNFing.)
Amazingly, most of the world's elite (Bolt, Blake, Rudisha, Koech, Bekele in his time) manage to post fast times from May to August year after year.
I think you mean petitioning to get into a race you don't belong because you were fast 5 years ago and can't get a real job because you dropped out of college "cause thats the smart choice"

Rudisha needs to get Matt "GOAt Rabbit" Scherer to pace him to 600 if he truly wants to break the record again. check this out, brosephs:
QT#3: In thinking about Greer running this race, we were wondering what he could do for 600 and whether he could get Rudisha through on world record pace. That got us to thinking - what's the fastest 600s ever run in US history. Here they are according to alltime-athletics.com.
1 1:12.81 Johnny Gray USA 19.06.60 1 Santa Monica 24.05.1986
2 1:13.80 Earl Jones USA 17.07.64 2 Santa Monica 24.05.1986
3 1:14.15 David Mack USA 30.05.61 3 Santa Monica 24.05.1986
4 1:14.16 Johnny Gray USA 19.06.60 1 Sacramento 21.07.1984
5 1:14.3A Lee Evans USA 25.02.47 1 Echo Summit 31.08.1968
6 1:14.41 Matt Scherer USA 21.11.83 1 Eugene 15.06.2008
7 1:14.47 Nick Symmonds USA 30.12.83 2 Eugene 15.06.2008
8 1:14.48 Trinity Gray USA 03.04.78 2 Rovereto 30.08.2000
9 1:14.6A Larry James USA 06.11.47 2 Echo Summit 31.08.1968
10 1:14.8A Mark Winzenried USA 13.10.49 3 Echo Summit 31.08.1968
If Coe or Kipketer had someone taking them through and drafting them to 600m in 1:14, then I would suspect the 1:41 barrier would already have been broken.
I think Rudisha will run 1:41.2 in Paris and 1:40.8 in Zurich after the Games.
