Great why is there a page long thread about this guy
- 1992 national Junior Olympic cross-country title in the 3000 meters in the 11- to 12-year-old division
- IL State Meet - 2nd as freshman, won the next three years. 14:00 at Detweiler, fastest there since 1977.
- Foot Locker finalist all FOUR years (only one to achieve this ever) - winning title in 1998
- Probably the best four-year record in NCAA XC competition of anyone born in the US and not overage. Probably one of the best records for any NCAA runner period. He placed something like 27th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st.
- 8th, 5th, 2nd in NCAA outdoor 5k. Similar record in NCAA Indoor.
For an American, he has been a great, consistent internationalist for the last 10-12 yrs. He ran 13:26 in college. Nationally ranked nearly every year, and running XC, 5k, 10k and marathon. 13:20/27:42 PRs. A lot like Pre, or Virgin, or Williams.
Ugh ... I don't know why I ever bother. If you don't get it now you are never going to get it.

Yes all those are commendable accomplishments but they certainly are not worth your own thread on letsrun.com. You have to put things into persepective here. You list a lot of accomplishments he made on a national level but how about the international level. All I see there is a finalist in the 2003 WC, BFD. That's not saying a whole lot. The fact is he would be lapped by Bekele in a 10k 9 time out of 10. That's not something to be bragging about.

You are stupid , look at world cross ( yes its international competition of the highest level for distance running , ran in the Oly 10k final as well.
You are a moron, and you have highlighted that here.
Who was bragging?
Who wouldn't be lapped by a 26:17? All but about 10-15 people per year, out of 6 Billion.
How many times would you get lapped by a 26:17?
Alright! Three pages on my man Jorge Torres! Let's see if we can make it four LRC!
I think I remember that he started a business engraving the back of marathon medals when he retired.

Are you really that naive, to say 10 - 15 people out of 6 billion? Please reconsider that statement because of shear stupidity. For that matter lets start a thread about every poster, since every poster on here can break 38 minutes in a 10k. Only 10 million people in the world can do that out of what 6 billion. Well thats above 99%, just like your number. Really not much of a difference is there.
And yet again you fail to understand the concept of this thread, it's about Jorge Torres, and yet another moron that tries to make it about me. You guys must really like me if you're trying to make this thread about me.
Thanks!

Great addition to the discussion! Thanks!
You sure know how to add to a discussion as well, nice one.
So Gabe Jennings is THAT much better than Torres, that he gets a thread and not Jorge? Plus, when does even mentioning Torres bring up his 1500 and not his best distances. He ran a pretty decent marathon a few yrs ago and we are curious about what he has been up to recently since we haven't heard anything. Threads are forms of communication, you know like Galen said.... Chat rooms......lol

My goodness, you're a terrible writer. Look, if you're going to spend this much of your life trolling an obscure internet messageboard, at least have the self-respect to learn how to communicate the vapid, poorly-formed thoughts that are rattling around in that little head of yours in a way that doesn't make you look like a confused, barely literate doofus.

Learn how to spell "messageboard" you "doofus" I love it when people call me out for my less than perfect writing but can't formulate a literate sentence themselves. I'm not going to be a stickler to people if they can't spell but if they call me out on it then like what the hell.
Also here is another great example of another follower of mine. This a thread about Jorge Torres, not about stick with eharmony. But all you guys wish to make this thread about me. Perhaps we should talk about my pr's and let you have at them. Okay here we go
800m 2:10
Mile 4:52
2 mile 10:59
5k 17:33
10k 36:57
.5 mar. 1:23:20
marathon 3:00:19
There ya go guys!
Albert Einstein compared to Paris Hilton is what Paris Hilton is compared to you.
I find it interesting that for nearly 60 posts, people have been arguing over the relevance of a Torres thread. And since it's inception, we still have no idea where the hell Jorge is or what he is up to. Well done LR.
Jorge is here in Boulder. Has a great gal and some cool dogs. Seems happy, even if injured. Another good CU grad.
I think the heat is getting to everybody.

You're proving my point.
