Yes...the "millions" was probably a slight exaggeration haha. But I do think this will be a money-maker for the athletic departments at least. Schools like Lehigh, Lafayette, and Colgate are already spending a ton of money on football and right now getting practically zero return. I would guess a lot of the money for the scholarships will be coming from the academic part of the university (student fees and such), meanwhile the athletic department themselves will reap the benefits from playing higher profile opponents, more TV games and greater attendance. The schools have been studying this for ages, I don't think they would've risked the academic hit if they didn't think there was major financial upside.
