ETHIOPIA cross country trials are a joke look at the times!

Hmmmm...I'm guessing that if you formed a combined xc team picking from both Ethiopia and the US to represent the two countries together at Worlds that you would have six from Ethiopia and zero from the US.

Are you saying that if you first eliminate all but six from Ethiopia then probably one of Ethiopia's remaining six would have a bad day and only five would come out ahead of Solinsky? That might be so. Maybe not. It isn't really obvious to me. And it certainly isn't impressive.

I for one wouldn't want to go shouting from the rooftops, "Hey, you loser Ethiopians, if one of your six sprains his ankle on the course today then you'll only have five ahead of our #1! So there!!!"

eliud kipchoge would also be able to at least give rupp and solinsky a good race.

i am not saying eliud kipchoge is better than rupp or solinsky, but kipchoge could beat them if kipchoge runs good and solinsky and rupp run a bad race.

as for the ethiopians here are the names of a few of their runners who ran the ethiopian trials, but were not in the top 6.

again i am not saying these 4 and others are as good as rupp and solinsky, butthey did not finish in the top 4 yesterday.

isaiah koech he may not be able to beat rupp or solinsky at 10k or cross country, but he did beat rupp by 28 seconds in a 5k 2 weeks ago.

Maybe you should try getting your lists of boring meaningless statistics published - in an athletics magazine? Actually you probably could make a good article about that going back over time and making comparisons. I prefer the human aspects of athletics, listening to a Kenyan talk of how as a boy he tried to catch a Kibiswet bird like his hero the great Kip Keino. The Ethiopian course it seems would have to be off close to 300-400m or more and Addis is developed enough to be able to measure a course accurately if it wanted the course accurate.

It's amazing they can't measure courses, their runners are all the wrong age and their senior teams could will still hammer your lot 10 x over.

I hope they know you don't need an apostrophe with plural words, too!
