So 2 of the Top 4 will be from the UAA. Athletic Association is reigning dominance in Cross.

Kosgei has three seasons of eligibility left and school left as well. He'll be back.
kosgei is done. he is listed as a senior all year last fall in cross country. maybe he will be back in track but he is definitely done for cross country.
the post above says matt is on geneseos roster. i am pretty sure they count as a team. a very good team at that

Fun fact: Sean curry is still in school. NOT.
Why do you think this? Kind of a slander-us thing to say when you don't know anything about him
slanderous?
Must have pressed the wrong key
16 Abad Akhtar JR Stockton 25:36.5 5:10
I have a feeling this guy will crack the top 10...
O'Connor just ran 5:13's for the Boilermaker... I think he could win the region this year.
He didn't compete his freshman year (06).
No more trolling please everyone. Kosgei is done. So lets drop that subject. He is gone, no longer a factor so stop mentioning him.

I'm failing to see the relevance of a race that is almost twice the distance of xc, on the roads, and four months before championship season.

I agree that it doesn't indicate he'll automatically win the region or whatever, but you can't say it means nothing...it's a very good performance that shows he is in good shape. Don't be a h8r.
What's up with this Curry thing? Can someone please elaborate? And is matt knott really gone?

I remember hearing that Knott was planning on going to Geneseo last year, but didn't get in...

Top three are good picks.
Who ran well for UR in track?
Top track times for UR this past season:
1500
Ramirez - 4:00
Steeple
Lang - 9:00, 3rd at NCAA's
Lane - 9:26
5K
Lang - 14:56
Stelzig - 15:20
Baumgartner - 15:33
10K
Vavra - 32:01
Pinto - 32:20
Baumgartner - 32:22
Vavra was 26th at '09 Regionals, right behind Bocchino (last individual qualifier from AR) and Mwenda. None of their other guys were in the top 50 last November.
I can only really see the 2 teams making it out. No at-large.

NYU lost one of their top returnees because he's transferring. I honestly don't think NYU will crack the top 5 as a team.
Gotta be a joke, right? I don't know who might have transferred, but if Schwelm (AA in 2009) and Turlip (just missed AA) are back, that's a decent 1-2. Of their 10 guys who ran 26:47 or better at Oberlin last year, I believe only three graduated.
They're bringing in a freshman runner or two, according to DyeStat; plus the NYU guys, as noted by others, tend to develop from year to year. (Example: Maher was AA in 2008 and 2009, JV in 2007.)
NYU may not be 12-15 deep this year, as they sometimes have been in the past, but it only takes 5-7 on a given day, and they'll have that. I think their only real Regional question is whether they'll be the top AR team at Nationals--again.
matt knot transferred to Geneseo. He will kick some ass there over the next three years.
