I believe it. 5:59 as the fastest of three in a workout. Age 60. Also 4:17 at age about 28. So I will plan on a 9:01 in 16 years.
Tom
Age: 44
PR: 4:03 equivalent (1500 conversion)
Fastest last six months: Around 6:00 in a workout
Awesome, huh?
4:59 first mile of the 3000m race at the Carl Lewis Invitational. Also my PR. Looking to take that down below 4:40 during outdoor this year. Personally I think the longer races are better, I'm more of a 5K guy than a miler. Oh and I'm 18 years old.
Fastest Mile in the last 6 months: 4:48 during mile repeats
Mercier table conversion from 1500m race: 4:28
3:43 but this was long 10yrs ago, after EPO injection. Shalam.

I'm a photon of light from Alpha Centauri, ~3 billion years old or so. Pretty fast for my age
Just ran 4:17 at University of Washington Indoor. Age 38. Next week hoping to hit 1:53 in the 800m.
4:04 At the age of, well, it's over 30, and less than 40...
PR from more than 10 years ago: 3:55 (converted from 1500m, true mile 3:58).
Sorry for the ambiguity, but I don't like to be identified by anyone.
5:08 1600. I'm 40. It was in a workout - the last of 5 relaxed 1600 repeats.
This thread reminds me of what I should have tried doing last year - run a sub-5:00 mile after turning 40 in May. I haven't raced distances that short since the early '90s, but I'll have to make it a minor goal this summer. I'm sure I can do it in a workout without killin myself. Now that I think about it, the last time I can remember running a verified sub-5:00 1600 or mile was maybe in 2001, when I did 4x1600 averaging 5:00. I didn't really do track workouts between then and last summer. Dang, how did time fly by so fast?
