Will any of the Malone guys battle for the top 3 spots or maybe be Sam Vasquez since he is a former Razorback. I was wondering who the longshots are for the top 3 or 5 spots.
For the Women's race I would agree that it will probably be Jackey Kipwambok to win the women's race. I think that the rain on the course is going to play a big factor since it will be raining all week.
What's up with Vasquez? I was surprised when I looked at the results last year and saw that I beat him. Given the course in Wisconsin was hella hilly and a bit muddy so times weren't blazing, but I would expect that guy to be top 10 for sure. He didn't have a stellar track season last year either.
And a side note. I have never understood why some people hate on the NAIA so much. We are ALL distance runners. I love the sport regardless of what class I'm in. I use to run for a DI school (loved the perks) but didn't enjoy the 24,000+ student body. I enjoy the small school scene much more. So why bash? IS the NAIA as deep as D1...no way! It's a good mix between D2 and D3...what's wrong with that? It doesn't mean jack what your jersey says on it! With that said, goodluck to my teammates and everyone running today at NAIA nats and to everyone running on Monday! Go David McNeil!
