I think at some point Sarah Hall is going to have to stop getting a place on the line. She ran pretty well this indoors season. I understand she is an American in a domestic meet but her performances really don't warrant inclusion. I guess it is okay if she rounds out the field. Maybe it's a result of having two nearly identical races in the meet.
What about Olympic gold medalist Nancy Lagat?
I would love to see an American 1-2-3 finish in the womens 1500m(willard, wurth-thomas, rowbury).
Nancy Jebet Lagat has a habit of peaking later in the season i.e july/august time.So it is unlikely she will challenge Burka or Willard.
So true just because she's Olympic Champion doesn't mean anything that's the only international race she won last year and so far this year. Can you say got abit lucky last year and why is J. Barringer being mention in the same breath in the 1500m as Wurth-Thomas, Geleta, and even Anna Willard who just popped a near sub 1:59?
Hey, it is NOT true that she has only won one race.She won the 800M world junior champs in 2000 in a time of 2.01( see below).She was outstanding as a junior actually but then was sidelined by injuries and the husband's problems ( i.e Kenneth Cheruiyot- former Rotherdam marathon winner who was arrested for allegedly commiting murder).

You were trying to sugest that she came from 'no where' to winning an olympic medal which is not factually correct.So i assumed you do not know her history hence decided to enlighten you and anyone else who has the same notion.

Yes she won the Olympics and have a Gold and Silver medal from the World Jr. Track Championships but other than those she don't win very often. The last international 1500m race she won before the Olympics go all the way back to Milano in 2005 and she competed regularly every year, maybe later this year she lives up to her potential and Olympic title and win alittle more than in the past.
Have there been any indication as to what the pace will be for any of the distance races?

Seem to be missing Rob Watson in the steeple....also does anyone know why he is listed as USA in the official start list. I know he went to college in the states at Colorado State, but I am pretty sure he retains Canadian citizenship as he lives in Guelph and trains with the Speed River Track Club.
