What is wrong with doing nothing with your life?

I was thinking about giving Denmark a shot. That country is rated number one in the world for overall well-being.

The only drawback would be shitty weather, but I guess it'd make me appreciate nice days.

a little bit of advice for you my friend.

1)if you havent already, read the book "The Alchemist"

life is about finding yourself, most people are raised to see themselves fulfilled with lots of money, a nice home, kids, etc.

for some people this is a good fulfilling way to live. they find purpose out of making others happy (kids) and improving themselves through the standards that society has set for them.

for others (like you and I) it's not. all the money i see is just paper, all the homes i see are just walls. I suggest spending your time doing whatever you want. Walk around for little bit.

I work now and used to live in Montana during the summer months, sort of "Into the Wild" if you will. It was paradise but Montana in the winter is far from it.

I am considering moving out of the country and living somewhere with less pressure to succeed in society. Is there anything wrong with living a life just laying low and relaxing?

You may be surprised to learn that living in another country does not automatically mean "less pressure to succeed" or "laying low and relaxing". Most people around the world work like hell to make ends meet so its no walk in the park. Investigate each country completely before you go. Employment may be much tougher for you to find, as a foreigner.

Living "just for you..." is entirely your decision. Why worry about what other people think? Don't you have both self-respect and guts to produce your own life without fearing others expectations?

Take the time you need to find your innate afffinities and abilities. Canadians, Australians, Europeans,etc. are more relaxed in their approach to career building.

Go on a global walkabout if necessary.

Above all walk your own path at your own pace.

Definately go travel and make money elsewhere. Don't listen to the "guilty for not paying taxes" bullshit. Go out and enjoy/learn about yourself and life. Assuming you are between the ages of 22-25.

This is what you do: 1)Find a job somewhere in Asia with a cheap cost of living.

2) Send at least $800 to an American account each month.

3) Find yourself a hot/poor/smart Asian and marry her.

4) Come back to the States after about ten years.

5) Invest your saved money into business (not the stack market)that will work and you enjoy.

6) Have a couple of kids.

7) Manage your business for another ten years.

8) Hire a reliable manager for your business and retire.

9) Spend the rest of your time with the kids and banging your hot wife.

10) Do a little more traveling.

11) Lose your sex-drive.

12) Hang out with your kids and drink a few beers in a beachbar somewhere nice.

13) Grow old.

14) Kiss your wife goodbye.

15) Tell her you loved every minute of your life (with no regrets).

16)Go to sleep and not wake up.

This accomplishes several things: A) It sets goals.

B) You give money back to the American economy. So you can tell all these boring taxpayers to kiss your ass. They'll never do anything exciting anyways.

C) Have beautiful mixed kids with a diverse gene pool.

D) Bone a wife who ages gracfully, loves being with you, and appreciates the simple things in life. Fins a simple woman and she will help you find the simple things that make life worhwhile.
