Great year!
A lot of bad asses on here. I had hoped for 2000 miles, but goofed off a little bit too much this summer. Finished with a strong December (231 miles) to get 1758 for the year, my most ever by over 100 miles.
Hope to nail down 800 miles in 2009 before Boston.
2577 - 41 years old, pb, took six weeks off
2483.2
2516 would like to get closer to 3000 this year
3289
9180 on the bike, a PR I have mixed feelings about.
35 w/running shoes on. Plantar problems followed by an arthritic flare-up. Dang.
I got an nice easy 10 miler yesterday morning to hit 3600 right on the head. I was sort of injured last Jan and took 3 weeks off this year after long build-ups so, I think I can log more this coming year. I'm happy with the total and pleased to have chopped 3 and a half minutes off my marathon PR. Happy New Year all.

3593 miles
2835, my highest total in many years
I'm impressed with a lot of the "older dudes" on here. I get the feeling that I may never get the same amount of mileage ever again in my life, because I'm a college senior now. I hope life works out in a way that I am still able to create time to get in all the running that I want to.

41 years in 12 days, for me it's just taking advantage of whatever life presents me and having certain priorities, running happens to be one now. Had a lot of years away d/t lifestyle choices so it's fun to be at it again. Enjoy.

mdw,
It's true as well for me, as I am 41 and have started to integrate running back into my lifestyle after seemingly allowing it to remain separate. Two small kids at home have changed my priorities as I don't find myself wanting to go out for longer runs...but motivating myself by entering races months in advance. My mileage totals hit a modest ~1500 miles this past year. This year promises to be up around 2k.
2208.5 miles for 2008
over 68,000 career miles as of 12/31/08
2366 - mostly shit miles. My resolution is to work harder in 2009.
3138 for '08
in '06 i had 3297, pretty sure that record will fall this year
4,035 - new yearly PR. Ran every day of 08.
