Irelands next World Class athlete

Was chatin to David Flynn on Sunday after the race, its like he hadent even run he was so fresh, not a drop of sweat on him or anything. He said he was going slower than tempo pace & was going to line up for the senior race just after only for Raheny Shamrock official Dav Hooper refused to register him before the race under a stupid rule. The guy was afraid all Raheny runners were gona be destroyed by the Flynner.

Apparently he ran 4 X 1 mile last week in 4'30 at training. Couldnt see david Mccarthy do that

do you think flynn spends anytime on the internet?he might happen to read this thread.hope he can keep a level head and keep running the way he is right now.

Im sure he is leaving lads behind in training right now.

Flynn did 6 x 1mile today averaging 4.45 and he had a race/tempo yesterday.Heard he got the highest recorded vo2 max score in DCU 2 weeks ago.

Alistair was not recruited by Arkansas. His brother ran for SMU and they recruited Alistair. There was quite an unfortunate incident at SMU (thank god for Alistairs sake) and Alistairs brother got in touch with Arkansas who were more than willing to take him off of SMU's hands (wow Wollman was no doubt still is a dumbass)

But yes he had been representing South Africa when SMU recruited him.

this thread is an absolute joke to be honest being an irish runner i can tell you that flynn is a good runner in terms of irish scene...... strong due to a higher than average mileage base than most of the lads he competes against but he will be eaten alive i mean he doesnt compare to the likes of McCarthy and Murphy (just taking talents of a similar age)

His run at the weekend was made more impressive than actually was as his main competitor was sick and arrived shortly before the race wunning without warm up ( not me before people think i biased). being fit this person would actually beat flynn and has done so numerous times in the past....... fact is his times speak for themselves not good enough to get him in who ever started this thread was either joking or delluded so people should just grow up and if that interested just follow his progression without hyping him up like this
