Yeah, we complain a lot. I think most people complain a lot, but women complain about other women A LOT. I hate it when I am hanging out with my friends and then the complaining loop starts. The whole thing just turns into a complain-fest and it sucks. I think the reason for this is that women are pack animals and we like to find common ground somewhere. A common enemy is one of the most unifying forces known to man, so we do this "brothering and othering"(that was the term my sociology class used at least) behavior to bring ourselves closer to one another. Just watch next time one of your female friends has a bone to pick with another friend. She will tell everyone she knows about the problem, making herself look like the innocent victim to try to get the other people to rally behind her against the perpetrator. This behavior sucks more than you can imagine when you are a girl. I try to keep drama out of my life as much as possible, but if one intends to have female friends ever in their lives, they will at some point be the butt of this type of evil harassment. It is especially complicated when you are a member of a women's cross country/track team. One person has a problem with you and instead of putting on their man pants and confronting you, they just turn EVERYONE against you before you even realize something is wrong.
If you are looking for more evidence that women complain a lot, simply look at the excessively lengthy paragraph above.
Sincerely,
a womyn
this is so true. sad, but true.
