First off, it's really great to read everyone's kind words and congratulations. It's a really wonderful feeling this week, staying at home with Sam and Mrs. SS. Not to say that we're not half-panicked from time to time ... but so far so good!
To answer ExCoastRanger, Mrs. SS is 35. Just old enough to be called "advanced maternal age" by the docs. But like Mrs. 1500, she's an athlete (a stronger runner than me) and in many ways "younger" than many women who were born 10 years after she. Yes, we had some concerns going into the pregnancy, but there are no guarantees no matter what age you are, right? I turn 41 in a few days and it's quite inspirational to see everyone on this board keeping the fires burning hot in the second half of life.
Oh yeah, I did sneak in an hour run yesterday ... legs were good considering how little sleep there's been in the past several days.
